Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Services connects external and internal management information throughout an entire company, including manufacturing, finance and accounting, as well as sales and service. An integrated software application automates this activity with the goal to assist the flow of information inside the company and enable connections to stakeholders on the outside.

ERP services might contain human resources, warehousing, purchasing, order entry, manufacturing, accounts receivable and payable, and transport. ERP solutions can be accessed via web browsers and customer services has been improved, because the internet made it possible that ERP system can interact with suppliers for demand planning instead of being restricted to the financial applications.

Working with ERP services might include employee retraining, new work procedures and business process analysis, but the benefits can be extremely important.

It has become clear that companies will have an even larger success if they decide to outsource their ERP services to an external third party. Some of the countries that are in great demand include India and China. Reasons for companies to outsource ERP services can include manpower deficiencies because training an employee in ERP services takes up a lot of time and requires quite an amount of skill. Also vague understanding of ERP and vagaries within the IT department due to a lack of understanding make the situation more complicated. Altogether offering ERP services requires time and skills but the major advantages it brings cannot be denied.
