Google is easily the top dog. There have been some pretty scary statements made about Google and the privacy of search requests recently. You may have heard that Google was nominated for a “Big Brother” award. You may also have read that Google knows everything you ever searched for. Should you be frightened? With Google Toolbar, Google Search, Google Mail, Google Docs, etc., collecting information about users both as a means of revenue with targeted advertising and as part of the search service itself, it is still not clear how Google utilize this information or data collected through various channels?

Relax. Yes, there are privacy issues to be aware of when you do a search at Google. However, these issues are just as much as a concern for other searches engines you visit, as well. More importantly, the fear that you personally could be tracked isn’t realistic, for the vast majority of users, at least by Google itself.

There is no doubt that Google Analytics is a powerful sophisticated tool that gives you an edge of better understanding about various statistics of your website. But some critics raise the question that Google Analytics deals with a lot of business critical data, and it might arises the question of privacy concerns of enterprises. Some are of this opinion that while this will not be a case of misuse of privacy from a company of stature like Google, still it can use in some form or the other to further their business interests.

But still one can say that Google Analytics provide up to date information about website statistics to strongly improve the respective website’s performance.

Blogs began as personal opinions, journals, and diaries, allowing people an opportunity to express themselves. They have evolved into other things. Still, they shouldn’t lose that feeling of personal, which makes blogs different from websites.

Blogs are great marketing, monitoring, conversing and learning tools that should be taken advantage of by individuals and businesses everywhere. This is a great article that stresses the importance of blogs and also gives advice on how how breaking into the blogosphere will help you. The positive qualities of blogs are abundant and should be considered by all people wanting to expand their persoanl and/or business horizons.

It really makes a difference when the voice we read is consistent in opinion and style, and we know what to expect when visiting and reading. One of the greatest compliments I can get on my site is when people say “I feel like I know you”, or “I totally understand you”, or my favorite “We have so much in common, I feel like you are a friend before we’ve even met.” While a tiny part of my site is dedicated to my personal opinions and experiences, the articles and information we share is a reflection of our life on the road traveling and people like the personal way we tell the stories.
