Design and Surprise design2 300x183

The first line of defense should be good enough to demonstrate that you respect your client’s intelligence. For some clients, a simple statement is enough to convince them and for some others, you need to scratch your head to assemble your thoughts and still it doesn’t work.

When it comes down to live wire, every client and the projects are different, and this Practice Study is intended not as a recipe for success, but rather a list of ingredients. Ultimately the ball goes in the court of design firms and the businesses they work for to structure & synthesis the projects in such a way to ensure timely and effective decision-making and design refinement. Success, then, depends on design firms’ ability to be entirely transparent with clients during the pre-sales and post sale process i.e. the delivery phase. If we the designers can understand the value of time constraints, zeal to deliver great granular work, then we can feel confident that our clients will make the decision that best meets their business needs and no doubt they will get surprised with our creativity..!!

Link Baiting linkbait

Well, when talk about Linkbaiting, it is often written about in negative terms. ‘Baiting’ can be regarded as a sense of trying to trick or trap an unsuspecting person or thing into doing something that they don’t really want to do. While this is accurate with some forms of linkbaiting it is not true with others.

This is the area of the debate around the term ‘linkbaiting’ and some of the practices that people talk about it incorporating. Some argue strongly that it is just a by-product of quality content, others argue that many linkbaiting strategies border on spam, others seem to talk about linkbait as being the answer to all web promotional problems (increasingly SEO companies are offering linkbaiting services).
Quite frankly, its always been a difficult term to be definitive about as it covers a lot of different practices ranging from running awards or competitions, through to writing attacking posts on high profile bloggers in the hope of them biting back and linking to you, through to providing other bloggers or site owners with tools (with embedded links back to your own site) that they can put on their blogs… In reality the term ‘linkbaiting’ is a new term for something that webmasters have been doing for many years.”

Future of the Internet internet future

There’s no doubt that the Internet might be subjected to criticism on a variety of fronts, it is unlikely that going online will ever suffer from the same type of scorn that other communication applications have received over the years. The impact of the Internet – whether measured by the numbers of users or by the social change it is causing – cannot be overestimated.

Internet has been seen as technical curiosity by many social observers – in particular, Mainstream media despite of the Internet’s growing influence. We contend that this neglect occurs in large measure because people not only don’t appreciate the true scope of the Internet, but also still don’t understand the merits associated with it.

Search Engine Blues search engines1

Majority of people use a search engine by simply typing a few words into the query box and then scrolling through whatever comes up in the search engine results. It happens quite often that their choice of words ends up narrowing the search unduly and causing them not to find what they’re looking for. More often the end result of the search is a haystack of off-target web pages that must be combed through. You can do better than that, and that’s what this page is about.

Well, just follow these four things, start narrow, Find exact phrases, trim back on the URL, and then look for similar pages. So if you make a habit of using the four techniques described above, you’ll be a much better searcher than 90% of all web-users. It’s just four things, and each will provide you with a better net for information catching.

Google Analytics and Privacy analytics

There is no doubt that Google Analytics is a powerful sophisticated tool that gives you an edge of better understanding about various statistics of your website. But some critics raise the question that Google Analytics deals with a lot of business critical data, and it might arises the question of privacy concerns of enterprises. Some are of this opinion that while this will not be a case of misuse of privacy from a company of stature like Google, still it can use in some form or the other to further their business interests.

But still one can say that Google Analytics provide up to date information about website statistics to strongly improve the respective website’s performance.

AJAX and web applications

AJAX and web applications ajax

It is quite true that AJAX doesn’t work in all web browsers. Reading from its name, AJAX requires JavaScript. This alone means that AJAX applications will not be able to function properly in web browsers and devices that do not support JavaScript. For this reason it may not be accessible to many typical Web users.

The only possible solution to these problems is to either provide a non-AJAX alternative to your application or to allow your AJAX application to continue to function if JavaScript and XMLHttpRequest are not supported. But it will be much hard to achieve such an arrangement. While developers may choose to require the users to use a browser that supports AJAX, they must understand that such requirements may not be possible for all users – especially those using portable devices or older web browsers.

Public Libraries and Internet public libraries

The fact about Public libraries is that they cannot lose their hold as community centers for discourse and exploration. It is better to take a stance against government regulations of Internet use rather than placing unnecessary restrictions on user’s ability to research, maintaining that individuals have the freedom to seek and digest information. Day by day, better methods of dealing with Internet use issues are developing, implementing, and publicizing an Internet use policy with specific repercussions for misuse, situating Internet computers such that they can be easily monitored by staff, and using privacy screens or recessed monitors if necessary to ensure the privacy of individual users.
